Description

Size 4.2 cm
Description Upperparts bright orange-brown or grey. Fur is woolly. Noseleaf and ears are greyish. Noseleaf consists of rounded and horseshoe-shaped front section. Relatively small in size.

Ecology, Habitat & Location

Habitats Forest, Terrestrial
Distribution Nocturnal and insectivorous. It inhabits mature forest and roosts in hollow trees, tunnels and in drain culverts. In Singapore, confined to the Central Nature Reserves where it is common. Widely distributed in Afghanistan through India, southern China, continental Southeast Asia and Sumatra.
