Description and Ethnobotany

Growth Form Herbaceous plant up to 1.2 m tall.
Foliage Large, elliptic leaves narrow to a soft, thin tip. They are mostly pinkish red with small, scattered green spots throughout the leaf blade and having a green margin speckled with small cream-coloured dots. 
Cultivation This plant is low maintenance and ideal as a houseplant or office plant. Although it tolerates shade well, it may become leggy over time. Providing bright, diffuse light will promote bushy, compact growth. The plant size is constrained by its pot size, but it grows up to 1.2 m tall when provided with ample space.
