Description and Ethnobotany

Growth Form An epiphyte, it has a sympodial, clumping growth form. 
Foliage The pseudo-bulbs are oblong-cylindric, flattened and clustered together. Each pseudo-bulb gives rise to a leaf. The leaves are petioled and are oblong-elliptic in shape, the leaf petiole is deeply channeled.  
Flowers The flowers are borne on basal, 1-flowered inflorescences. The sepals and petals are yellow with red stripes running along the length, the petals are recurved and a lighter shade of yellow. The flower lip is recurved, white and radially striped with purple with a sub-crenulate and undulate margin.
