Description and Ethnobotany

Growth Form An epiphyte, it has a clumping growth habit. 
Stems The stems are cylindrical, bearing 3 to 5 leaves. 
Flowers The flowers are borne on racemes which can bear up to 20 flowers. The flowers have purple sepals and petals. The flower lip is a darker shade of purple. The petals overlap the sepals. 
Habitat It is found growing at altitudes of 0 to 400m on trees and rocks in a range of habitats such as coastal scrub and monsoon thickets.
