Description and Ethnobotany

Growth Form A sympodial epiphyte. It has a clumping growth form. 
Foliage The leaves are lanceolate in shape and are arranged alternately along the stem. 
Stems The canes branch occasionally, are club-shaped and grow up to 50cm long. 
Flowers The flowers are arranged on short axillary racemes located on the canes. The flower sepals and petals are yellow with red-brown stripes on both outer and inner surfaces, the outer surfaces only or yellow without any stripes. 
Cultivation It is best grown under partial sun, mounted on tree bark or in hanging perforated containers.
