Foliage The oval leaves may be solid green or green variegated with maroon spots. The leaf margin is lined with rounded or square to rectangular teeth.
Flowers The flowers are unusual, because the sepals (the outermost layer of the flower which protect the petals) are long and sometimes twisted. Star-shaped flowers are composed of 24-32 petals that form a cup-like shape. The flowers vary in colour possibly as a result of crossing with other cultivars.
Taxonomy This cultivar likely originated from India. <1>
Cultivation It needs a water depth of 30-60 cm, an area of 45 cm in diameter and 4-6 hours of full sun daily to grow well.
