Storybook Writing: Advocating for Animals and Responsible Pet Ownership

Education plays a critical role in shaping how future generations view and interact with animals. We believe that children who grow up with empathy and respect for animals will contribute to a more humane and compassionate society.

Through the process of crafting and designing a storyonthe theme of ResponsiblePet Ownership, we hope to engage young minds in learning about and developing a sense of ownership towards both pet and community animals in Singapore. We also seek to raise awareness of the AVS’ broader mission of protecting animal health and welfare, including fostering responsible pet ownership within our City in Nature.

The Competition: A Creative Way to Advocate Animal Welfare

As part of the competition, students are tocome up with a narrative about cats aspets.Stories could range from that of an abandoned cat finding a loving home, to the journey of a pet cat and its beloved owner. The goal is to incorporate messages relevant to the theme of responsible pet ownership and animal welfare in a way that is both educational and engaging for young readers.

Get Involved Today!

Teachers are encouraged to mentor their students through this creative journey, ensuring their stories are on track for timely submission. We can’t wait to see the imaginative and thoughtful narratives that students will submit.Let’s work together to make a lasting impact on the next generation’s understanding of animal welfare and responsible pet care.
