Description
| Description | THe distinctive characteristic of this species is the broad cell-end bars in the undersides of both wings, and the spot in the middle of the forewing cell. The males are a dusky reddish brown above, whilst females are a dull steely blue. Like all its related species in the genus Rapala, this species possesses a pair of white-tipped string-like tails and has a lobed tornal area on the hindwing. The legs of the species are black and white banded. |
