Breeding: lores, areas around eye and frontal bar black; sides of neck and broad breast-band rusty-red contrasting with white throat; often sharp demarcation between white on throat and breast-band, with darker line. Non-breeding: upperparts sandy-brown; underparts white with dusky patches on sides of breast forming incomplete breast-band. |

A common winter visitor and passage migrant to Singapore and Sungei Buloh. |
