| Description | Slightly larger than Pacific Golden Plover. Black on bend of wing conspicuous. Bill and legs black. Breeding: upperparts grey mottled white; face and underparts black; white line similar to Pacific Golden’s, but broader at sides of neck terminating on flanks. Non-breeding: underparts dirty-white with extensive pale-grey markings on breast; white edgings to feathers on upperparts less marked. |

Common winter visitor and passage migrant to Singapore. At Sungei Buloh, it is a rare winter visitor where at most up to 2 birds may be present on the mudflats within the brackish water ponds. |
