Autonomous Vehicle Shuttle Service
The National Parks Board (NParks), in collaboration with Willers, will be deploying an 11-seater autonomous vehicle (AV) as part of a people mover system trial at Lakeside Garden, the western section of Jurong Lake Gardens. The trial is to test the efficacy and sustainability of running a people mover system in the Gardens to enhance accessibility. This is the first time that an AV is being tested in a public garden in the heartlands of Singapore.
Due to the length and size of Jurong Lake Gardens, a people mover system would be able to enhance visitor experience at the Gardens and increase accessibility for elderly visitors and families with young children.

Garden Cruiser Service
Glide through mesmerising pathways and enjoy the captivating scenery of our gardens in style and comfort.
Jurong Lake Gardens offers renting of the Garden Cruiser service to offer greater convenience and ease of commuting for visitors to the Gardens, especially those exploring the Gardens or attending events in groups with elderly and young children. This service was suggested by the public during our extensive public consultation held from 2015 to 2018 for the redevelopment of the Gardens. Booking can be done by contacting Jurong Lake Gardens at juronglakegardens@nparks.gov.sg, at least one month in advance and will be charged at $95 for the first hour and $75 for subsequent hourly hire. The Garden Cruiser will be driven by trained visitor services officers with a valid driver’s licence.
Strollers, wheelchairs, and other personal mobility aids and devices are welcome on the cruisers.
