Jurong Lake Gardens Mid-Autumn Festival 2021
The Jurong Lake Gardens Mid-Autumn Festival (“Event”) and all associated contests and activities are organised by the National Parks Board (“NParks”). By participating in the Contest, the participant (“Participant”) agrees to his/her unconditional acceptance of the following Terms and Conditions, which may be amended from time to time without prior notice being given.
Instagram Story Lantern Riddle Contest (“Contest”)
Terms & Conditions:
- This Contest is open to all residents of Singapore
- The Participant warrants that he/she is the sole owner of all intellectual property rights (including copyright) and other proprietary rights to the photographs, images, content of the caption, and any creative work and materials entered for this Contest (collectively, the “Materials”), and that he/she has not licensed or assigned any intellectual property rights in the Materials to any person.
- Entries that do not fulfil the above criteria will be deemed ineligible and will be disqualified.
- Participants are invited to submit their entries by responding directly on the question sticker in the Contest Instagram story.
- Multiple entries may be submitted but only the correct answer will be eligible for a prize, and each Participant stands one chance at a prize per correct answer.
- Entries submitted are only valid for the duration of each Contest Instagram story (24 hours).
- Entries submitted after the Contest Instagram story has expired will not be accepted.
- Entries submitted via direct message will not be accepted.
- A total of three prizes will be awarded for each Contest Instagram story.
- Each Participant is eligible to win one prize only.
- Winners will be randomly selected from the list of correct and eligible entries using a random number generator.
- NParks will contact winners via direct message on Instagram and provide winners with a form to fill up their particulars in order to facilitate the redemption of their prizes.
- Should the winner be uncontactable, NParks reserves the right to award the prize to a replacement winner or forfeit the prize.
- Winners will collect their prizes personally at Jurong Lake Gardens, Lakeside Garden Visitor Centre. Prizes are non-transferrable and no cash equivalent will be offered.
- NParks reserves the right to request any winner to provide proof of his/her identity and/or eligibility (if required) in order to claim a prize. In the event that a winner cannot provide suitable proof, NParks will forfeit the prize in whole and no substitute will be offered.
- NParks reserves the right not to award any prizes, if in their opinion, none of the eligible entries meet the required standard for the prizes.
- If for any reason the Contest is unable to proceed as planned, or due to any other causes beyond the control of NParks that affects the administration, security, integrity or proper conduct of the Contest, NParks reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Contest.
- NParks reserves the right to disqualify any individuals who tamper with the entries.
- The Participant shall assume all risks in respect of loss, injury, damage or liability which may arise as a result of or in connection to the Participant’s participation in the Contest and shall not hold NParks responsible in respect thereof except for liability which cannot be excluded by law.
- The Participant shall defend, fully indemnify and hold NParks and its employees and agents harmless from and against:
(i) All liabilities, damages, losses, costs (including legal costs on a full indemnity basis) and expenses arising from any claims, demands, actions, proceedings, judgment or execution which NParks, its employees or agents may suffer or incur from or in connection to the Participant’s participation in the Contest; and
(ii) Any claims, demands, actions, proceedings, judgment or execution, arising from infringement or alleged infringement of any copyright or other intellectual property right or violation of confidentiality in the Materials produced, reproduced or submitted for the Contest. - By participating in the Contest, all participants are deemed to have consented to the collection, use and disclosure of personal information where deemed practically necessary for the execution of the Contest.
