Description

Description Body width up to about 20cm. Body is fan-shaped with teeth at the sides. An excellent swimmer due to its last pair of legs which are paddle-shaped. Has long pincers with sharp spines. 

Ecology, Habitat & Location

Ecological Notes Found buried in sand or mud, sometimes hiding among seagrass.
Habitats Mudflats, Sandy Shore, Marine
Distribution Common in seagrass lagoon but can also be found in the sand and mud.
