| Description | Head broad, distinct from body. Snout black, an oblique black stripe across the eye. Body thick-set and cylindrical, grey with black-edged dark brown rectangular saddles along back. In hatchlings, the back is orange while the saddles are black. Scales keeled. Underside white with small black spots. |
