Description and Ethnobotany

Growth Form Stoloniferous herb forming rosettes to 15cm in height
Foliage Leaves lanceolate, to 5cm long, densely hairy, mid green on upper surface. 
Flowers Flowers pale lilac, corolla salverform, to 3.5cm in length. Throat with yellow markings.
Taxonomy This species was introduced to cultivation as a Chirita species under the collection no. 'USBRG 98-083', and has also been referred to by growers as Chirita sp. 'Vietnam'.  It is now referred to as a Primulina species due to the transfer of members in the genus Chirita to the genus Primulina. The identity of this species remains to be established.
