Description and Ethnobotany

Growth Form Rosette forming herb to 10cm tall
Foliage Leaves to 10cm long by 6cm wide, hairy, mid green with silvery-white markings on the veins, or almost covering the leaf blade in some specimens. Leaf margins serrate. 
Flowers Flowers to 5(-6)cm long, hairy, pale lavender purple, with rusty/ yellowish-brown markings in the throat
Taxonomy This species was introduced to cultivation as a Chirita 'Diane Marie'.  It is now referred to as a Primulina species due to the transfer of members in the genus Chirita to the genus Primulina.
