Description and Ethnobotany

Growth Form Rosette forming herb to 12cm tall
Foliage Leaves hairy, elliptic,  to 8 (-10)cm long by 3 (-4)cm wide, mid green with faint silvery-white markings on the upper surface. 
Flowers Flowers to 5-6)cm long, pale lavender purple, with yellow markings in throat. 
Taxonomy This species was introduced to cultivation as a Chirita 'Stardust'.  It is now referred to as a Primulina species due to the transfer of members in the genus Chirita to the genus Primulina.
