Description and Ethnobotany
| Growth Form | A woody liana with stems which can grow up to 10m in length. |

| Foliage | The leaves are arranged in opposite pairs on the stems and are simple with an entire margin, elliptical and a cordate leaf base. |
| Flowers | The small flowers are borne on racemose cymes up to 25cm in length. The flowers have 6 petals to form a slaverform corolla and are fused together to form a cylindrical tube. The petals are cream with pink stripes on the inner surface. |
| Habitat | It can be found in open forests, forest borders and brushwoods of altitudes of 200 to 1000m. |
| Ethnobotanical Uses | Medicinal: The stems and leaves are used to treat fractures and injury. The latex and roots are used for anaemia and rheumatism. |
