Advisories pertaining to COVID-19 (Phase 3)
13 Jan 2021 -
In line with the Multi-Ministry Taskforce’s latest advisory for the COVID-19 situation, please see the below updates for our gardens, parks and nature reserves.
Social and recreational activities
Social and recreational activities such as having picnics, photography, or kite-flying, will be permitted but within a group size of maximum 8 people. You are required to wear a mask, except when engaging in strenuous exercises or consuming food, drink or medication. Please observe a safe distance of at least one metre from other visitors.
Camping and BBQ pit applications
Campsites in our parks (including Pulau Ubin) and BBQ pits will reopen with effect from 20 January 2021. For parks, applications can be submitted via AXS from 13 January, 9am onwards. For Pulau Ubin, please apply via this form. Please comply with the terms and conditions for camping and the use of BBQ pits in our parks. Find out more here.
Sports and outdoor exercise activities
If you are engaging in sports and physical exercises, do ensure a group size of 8 people or less and that a safe distance of at least 2 metres between individuals is observed.
For organised outdoor exercise classes of more than 8 people, instructors/trainers will need to register with SportSG and submit an application to NParks at least 1 week in advance, so as to ensure there is ample space in our parks and gardens for safe distancing. Instructors/trainers will also need to ensure that the necessary safe management measures are being put in place.
Wedding solemnisations and receptions
In line with the easing of restrictions on weddings, selected indoor function spaces in our parks/gardens have reopened for wedding solemnisations and receptions of up to 100 people (including the couple, but excluding the solemniser and vendors), subject to safe management measures and the venue’s capacity. More info here.
Filming and Photography
Filming and photography in our gardens, parks and nature reserves can resume. Please submit an online application here.
Requests will be assessed based on factors such as the location, proposed filming hours, and whether safe-distancing measures can be put in place. Production companies should also comply with the guidelines by the Infocomms Media Development Authority.
Organised groups/activities (such as group tours, school learning journeys etc) to Nature Reserves and the surrounding Nature Parks
If you are organising an activity for groups to Bukit Timah Nature Reserve, Central Catchment Nature Reserve and the surrounding Nature Parks, please submit a hiking permit.
Others
Our F&B outlets in our gardens and parks are permitted to open for takeaway and dine-in for group sizes of up to 8 people, with safe management measures following guidelines by Enterprise Singapore.
Please observe the advisories which have been put up in our green spaces, and check in with the SafeEntry QR code on the TraceTogether app, or bring your TraceTogether token if you are visiting these places.
Some of our parks, carparks and other facilities could be closed temporarily to ensure ample space for safe distancing or for maintenance works. Before heading down to our parks, please visit SafeDistParks.nparks.gov.sg for the latest updates on visitorship levels.
