Centre for Science of Urban Nature (CSUN) Research Fellowship

About the Research Fellowship

The CSUN Research Fellowship provides opportunities for researchers to carry out independent research that contribute towards knowledge on urban greenery and ecology, to advance our City in Nature Vision. Fellowships may be offered in various disciplines, ranging from arboriculture, sustainable landscape, soil science, urban ecology, urban studies and people-nature interactions.

Fellowships are awarded on a competitive basis. Each fellowship award offers the successful applicant one round-trip airfare to Singapore and a monthly stipend of up to SGD 4,800. A monthly accommodation allowance (applies only to overseas applicants) of SGD 1,000 or pro rata will also be provided for the duration based in Singapore.

Scope

Fellows will identify, propose and develop the research project. A portion of the fellowship term (typically 1month) may be spent in Singapore, depending on the project requirements.

General Requirements

Upon completion of the project, a Research Fellow is expected to:

  • Submit a written report to NParks
  • Present the results in workshops or seminars
  • Acknowledge the Fellowship in scientific publications relating to the project or work done during the Fellowship term
