Before you apply for a phytosanitary certificate, you must:
You should start the application process well in advance of your planned export date to allow sufficient time for inspections and processing.
The validity of the phytosanitary certificate starts from the inspection date of your plants or plant products and ends on the last day the consignment must be shipped out.
Once its validity ends, the certificate expires, you will have to submit a new application.
You must apply for the phytosanitary certificate via the GoBusiness Licensing Portal.

A phytosanitary inspection needs to be conducted before a phytosanitary certificate is issued.
You will have to indicate your preferred date and venue for the inspection during your application.

After submitting your application, our officers will inspect your plants or plant products to ensure they are free from pests and diseases.
Do inform the officer if there are last-minute changes to your consignment before the inspection is completed. Any changes after the inspection (such as adding more consignment goods or increasing the consignment weight) will not be allowed.
If you wish to make changes to your inspection date or venue, call 6316 5181 or 6316 5170 before 9.15am on the day of inspection.
During the inspection, the inspecting officer may collect a representative sample of the consignment for applications that require additional declaration for pest freedom as required by the importing country.

The required additional declaration of pest freedom will only be endorsed on the phytosanitary certificate when laboratory results confirm your plant or plant products are free from the targeted pest.
