Join us for an exciting educational adventure to discover the amazing animals that live around us! Your child will embark on a journey with Timmy and Steffi as they explore local biodiversity through an engaging video and hands-on activities from our specially designed activity books. This programme teaches children about the many different types of wildlife that we share our green spaces with and how we can be good neighbours to them!

Celebrating Wildlife Series: Incredible Insects
(A Biodiversity Workshop)
Discover the amazing diversity of insects found in Singapore such as stick insects, beetles, bees, butterflies and even cicadas! Children will have the opportunity to go on a guided walk through the Gardens to observe insects in their natural habitat and study specimens of fascinating insects. Join us to learn about the essential ecological roles of insects in the environment and the importance of conserving our native biodiversity.

NewGarden Delights: Chocolate Lava Cake
(A Culinary Workshop)
Are you an aspiring chef? Try your hand at baking a delicious chocolate lava cake and learn about how the cacao fruit is made into the chocolate that we eat. Participants will get to bring take home their delicious creations.

New Behind-the-Scenes: Inside the National Orchid Garden Nursery
Have you ever wondered how the National Orchid Garden (NOG) maintains its vibrant orchid displays and supports the Gardens' orchid breeding programme? Join our colleagues from the Living Collections team to learn about their work in the orchid nursery!
Over 1.5 hours, attendees will learn about:
- Horticultural work at the NOG
- How orchids are grown and maintained in the Nursery
- Environmental sustainability practices

Through this hands-on experience, participants will learn about the 3Rs – Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle – whilst discovering creative ways to protect our planet. Come play with our tinkersheet and leave with fresh ideas on becoming a planet-saving hero in your daily life!
