Music Oasis by Singapore Chinese Orchestra

Under the baton of Associate Conductor Lien Boon Hua, the Singapore Chinese Orchestra returns to the Singapore Botanic Gardens this November, welcoming audiences to an evening of magnificent Chinese orchestral music amidst lush greenery.

Featuring a selection of timeless Chinese orchestral masterpieces, the programme opens with the festive Harvest, followed by the monumental The Great Wall Capriccio. SCO Guan musician Zhang Shuo performs the fifth movement from The Silk Road Fantasia Suite, The Dance of Qiuci, taking audiences on a musical journey inspired by the ancient Silk Road.

A special highlight is Countryside by acclaimed Taiwanese composer Hannah Hsieh, a contemporary work portraying the beauty of rural life and the spirit of harvest. The concert concludes with Impressions of Chinese Music, a vibrant composition that blends traditional Chinese music with contemporary orchestral expression.
