Slow down, look closely and discover the joy of painting nature and landscapes!
Sign up for one of six beginner-level oil painting workshops inspired by the lush landscapes of the Singapore Botanic Gardens.
Guided by Mylene Viggers, an accomplished oil painter known for her vibrant paintings of Singapore's tropical landscapes, participants will explore an Impressionist approach to capturing light, colour and nature in oils. View Mylene's paintings at
@myleneviggersart.
Each small-group workshop offers an opportunity to spend time with nature, explore your creativity and enjoy the process of painting. No prior painting experience is required, and all materials will be provided.
The first two workshops will take place at the
Pangolin Room in Gallop House No. 5 (Atbara), a heritage building nestled in the greenery of the Gardens' Gallop Extension. In this peaceful indoor setting, participants will paint from photographs of the Gardens' lush landscapes, bringing out their distinctive character through oils.
Selected works created during the series may be featured in a community art exhibition at Singapore Botanic Gardens from 15 January to 14 March 2027, as part of the Gardens' Singapore Art Week programmes.
