Step into the shadows of the Malaysian rainforest, where a hidden world comes alive. Birds call, insects buzz and mammals move through the dense foliage, yet much of this extraordinary drama remains unseen. Through the lens of remote cameras, The Tiger's World reveals the secret lives of the animals that inhabit this ancient ecosystem, and brings us closer to the elusive Malayan tiger.
Each tiger's unique stripes tell a story. Camera traps help conservationists identify individuals, understand their behaviour and follow their movements through the forest. But this world is increasingly under threat: poaching poses a serious danger to tigers and other wildlife, while human activity continues to put pressure on them and their forest home. Yet there is reason for hope.
Journey with us into the tiger's world and discover the challenges these magnificent cats face, and the people working to protect them. Join us under the stars and come find out why there is still hope for the Malayan tiger. This is a silent-cinema screening, so please bring your own headphones.
The Tiger's World is a RIMAU and NuVista Film Production and an Earth In Focus Satellite Event, organised by Singapore Wildcat Action Group (SWAG) and sponsored by Cicada Tree Eco-Place.
Free to attend but registration required here.
Please note that this is a silent-cinema experience. Bring your own headphones to listen to the film.
