Fort Canning’s walls, built between 1861 and 1926, safeguarded Singapore, while sweet potato sustained communities during times of scarcity, evolving into a beloved ingredient. Participants will learn to make ang ku kueh, incorporating sweet potato as a key component, symbolizing resourcefulness and adaptability.
Attendees will receive a recipe card featuring sweet potato dishes inspired by Singapore’s culinary heritage, along with insights into Fort Canning’s history.
