For over 160 years, Singapore Botanic Gardens has been the birthplace of Southeast Asia’s rubber and orchid industries. A walk through the Heritage Core of the Gardens will evoke memories of bygone days when ladies strolled through the Gardens with parasols and long skirts. Highlights of the tour include the Bandstand, various sculptures, Heritage Trees, the Main Gate, and Saraca Stream Walk.

This programme is part of the Singapore Botanic Gardens and Fort Canning Park Heritage Festival 2026. From 5 – 13 September, step back in time and immerse yourself in the rich heritage of the Singapore Botanic Gardens and Fort Canning Park. Discover the stories and history that have shaped our Gardens and Parks, as you explore the stunning landscapes by day and after dark. With a variety of programmes and events such as concerts, guided tours, workshops, craft activities, and night experiences, there's something for everyone at this festival.
