Explore the innovative and sustainable practice of transforming everyday waste into valuable food through mushroom cultivation. Participants will learn how industrial or household waste such as coffee ground and cardboard can serve as substrates for growing edible mushrooms. The session highlights the environmental benefits of waste upcycling, including reducing landfill burden, lowering carbon emissions, and promoting circular economies and demonstrates how individuals, communities, and urban farmers can adopt low-cost mushroom farming methods to produce nutritious food while minimising waste.
