Get Growing Roots SG is a volunteer-driven initiative born to address the fragmented nature of Singapore's urban farming and community gardening landscape despite numerous excellent urban farms and community gardens operating across the city, discoverability remains low, leaving many hidden from potential volunteers and participants who wish to help out. With relevant stakeholders’ inputs, the team has launched a website platform that maps and showcases these green spaces, making them easily discoverable and accessible to volunteers seeking meaningful engagement opportunities.
This talk aims to demonstrate the platform, share the project's vision, gather community feedback, and ultimately foster stronger connections between Singapore's urban farms and community gardens and interest volunteers to contribute and participate in such initiatives.
