Lights by the Lake returns to Jurong Lake Gardens from 19 September to 27 September 2026, (lantern displays till 4 October 2026) transforming Chinese Garden, Japanese Garden, and Lakeside Garden into a glittering Mid-Autumn celebration.

At the heart of the festival is a sweeping lantern display trail retelling the Legend of the White Snake across five dramatic scenes, alongside celestial displays inspired by Chang'e, the Jade Rabbit, and Princess Kaguya from Japanese folktales. Nightly light shows and displays illuminate the Cloud Pagoda and Sunken Garden.

Beyond the lights, there's something for everyone. Catch LED lion dances, live buskers, and storytelling sessions at Chinese Garden. Enjoy an unforgettable night of Mandopop and English hits through the decades at NParks Concert Series in the Park: Rockestra® (19 Sep), a selection of Chinese orchestral classics and festive repertoire at Music Oasis by Singapore Chinese Orchestra (26 Sep) and a special screening of short films by DementiaSG on the eve of World Alzheimer's Day (20 Sep).

Science Centre Singapore brings stargazing and a Silent Disco Moonwalk to Japanese Garden, while the intimate Watermarks of the Moon performance offers a moment of quiet wonder.

Round the night off at the festive food market, try your hand at carnival games and lantern riddles, or join a guided evening tour of the Edibles Garden to discover the journey from seed to table.

Lights by the Lake 2026 is organised by National Parks Board.

Please note that Jurong Lake Gardens is a smoke-free garden. Visitors to Lights by the Lake 2026 are reminded that open flames such as candlelit lanterns and sparklers are not permitted in the Gardens. Additionally, visitors are encouraged to go car-lite and travel to the garden via public transport.
