Every year, millions of migratory shorebirds make an extraordinary journey from their breeding grounds in the Arctic to this part of the world. During their migratory journey, they encounter various challenges such as falling prey to hunters, predators and storms. For the shorebirds that arrive at Sungei Buloh, the reserve serves as a constant sanctuary along a coastline that is changing everywhere.

Join us in celebrating and welcoming these marvels of endurance back home to Sungei Buloh with Welcome Waders!

Wader Watch
Learn how to identify our feathered friends, then go on a guided bird watching session in the Reserve. Sessions run periodically — see below for upcoming dates:
