It's the perfect chance to mingle with fellow gardening enthusiasts, stay updated on the latest gardening trends, and enjoy some retail therapy. Bring your own reusable bags for your purchases and visit NParks’ Pasir Panjang Nursery booth for unique and interesting plants too!

Admission is free for all talks and demonstrations, unless specified otherwise. Seats are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Come, join us!

Join us for an engaging hybrid sharing session—in-person or online with past winners of the Community Garden Edible Competition (CGEC) as they share their inspiring journeys in growing edibles from early challenges to championship success. Moderated by Dr Wilson Wong, Curator/Horticulture and Gardening Outreach (Jurong Lake Gardens and Horticulture & Community), the session will explore practical growing tips, community gardening insights, and what it takes to excel in edible gardening. The conversation will also offer a sneak preview of CGEC 2026

Designing an edible garden

Kokedama with edible plants - A living, edible art form

Join Adrian Tan, Founder of Crafted Identity, for a hands-on workshop blending Japanese kokedama craft with edible living. Create moss-wrapped kokedama using herbs and edible plants like Mint, Rosemary, Basil, and Thai Chilli Padi, while learning techniques, plant care, and design. This session brings together craft, cultivation, and food, reflecting Crafted Identity’s philosophy of mindful making and everyday nourishment.

Lens on edibles

Learn the art of photographing edible plants, from vibrant leafy greens to colourful fruiting crops. Master essential composition and lighting techniques and put your skills to practice during a hands-on outdoor photography session in the park. Conclude with basic post-processing tips to enhance your images and connect with fellow photography and gardening enthusiasts by sharing your best edible plant captures.

Equipment Required:
• A device capable of capturing images (mobile phone, compact camera, DSLR, or mirrorless system)
• Optional: clip-on lenses or binoculars

This session is suitable for both beginners and photography enthusiasts.

Gardentainment

Botanical sketching

By Botanical Art Society (Singapore) 
Meeting point:  HortPark Visitor Services Centre 
Time: 9:30 am to 11:00 am

Spend your morning drawing with fellow plants and art enthusiasts. The session will begin with a brief introduction to the key features and stories of selected plants. Experienced members of the Botanical Art Society (Singapore) will then guide participants in small groups, offering insights and techniques as you observe and capture the plants of HortPark through your artistic lens. Suitable for participants 15 years and above.

Free admission. Pre-registration is required.

Note: Pencils and sketching paper will be provided, Participants can also bring their own sketching materials. All participants are to meet at Visitor Services Centre 15 minutes before the sketching begins.



Guided Tours

Join us for guided tours through HortPark's theme gardens and edible landscapes, where our knowledgeable guides will showcase interesting plants and edibles that you can grow in a garden. Join these tours for an enriching and educational experience that will inspire your own gardening journey.
