| Foliage | Its spirally arranged, stalked leaves have thinly leathery leaf blades that are elliptic to drop-shaped, and 3.5–23 by 1.5–9 cm. |
| Flowers | Its cream-white flowers develop in flowering shoots. The hairy shoots are 10–24 cm long. |
| Fruit | Its fleshy fruit develops in clusters. They are also ellipsoid, smooth, green then turning pale yellow to rose-red, finally blackish, and 2–3.5 by 1.5–2.5 cm. |
| Habitat | It grows in lowland forest, and swampy areas, up to 750 m altitude. It occurs locally in Pulau Ubin. |
