Description and Ethnobotany

Growth Form An epiphyte, it has a clumping growth form and can grow up to 1.5m in length. In the wild, it rarely grows taller than 40cm. 
Flowers The flowers are solitary and are located in the leaf axils. The flowers are highly variable in colour and are usually 2 to 3cm wide. The white sepals and petals are recurved. The flower lip is dull green-yellow and has 3 brown lines running along the length of the mid-lobe of the lip. The mid-lobe is folded downwards along its midline. The side-lobes are also facing downwards.
