The Allotment Gardening Scheme was launched in 2016 to allow individuals to rent a space to grow edibles in our parklands under an expanded framework of the Community in Bloom programme. To date, more than 2,500 allotment garden plots have been introduced in 29 parks and gardens across Singapore, in a bid to make them widely accessible to the community.

To meet the growing demand for allotment garden plots and provide more spaces for gardening in the community, NParks has been working with agencies, Town Councils (TCs) and Grassroots Organisations (GROs) to implement allotment gardens in the heartlands since 2021. NParks will continue to work closely with the respective stakeholders to implement more allotment gardens in areas outside of parks.
