Join the Biosecurity Assurance Arrangement (BSAA)

The Biosecurity Assurance Arrangement (BSAA) is a special service provided by NParks to all institutions, companies and organisations that regularly import the following into Singapore:

• Plants and seeds
• Plant pathogens
• Living annelids, arthropods, molluscs or nematodes
• Biological control agents
• Beneficial organisms or beneficial organism products
• Genetically modified organisms.

Under the BSAA, members play a more responsible role by implementing a documented NParks-approved system to reduce the various risks involved during the introduction and use of plants, insects and microorganisms.

Organisation eligibility

Your organisation must meet all the following criteria to join the BSAA:

• Have the facilities, equipment and staff who have the expertise to operate upon agreed procedures and are able to consistently meet NParks-set requirements.
• Able to document their management controls, policies, procedures, allocation of responsibilities and record-keeping to maintain assured qualities within a BSAA manual.
• Capable of complying with the procedures in the BSAA manual.

You should also attach your organisation's BSAA manual which documents the management profile and quality assurance system for regular imports.
