Description and Ethnobotany

Growth Form Plant is a short shrub, about 60 to 90 cm tall and has a bushy growth habit. 
Foliage Compound pinnate, leaflets are ovate and have serrated margin. 
Stems The stems have thorns. 
Flowers Flowers are fragrant and showy, semi-double petaled (8-15 petals), measuring about 5- 7 cm in diameter. Flowers will fade from yellow to white. 
Cultivation Grow the plants in sunny and open location, with good air circulation. Soil must be well-drained. Apply mulch to retain moisture and control weeds, however keep mulch away from the stem base. 
Etymology The genus Rosa is a latin name for rose.
