Applying for a pet boarding licence 

Before you apply for a licence for pet boarding, you must attend and pass the mandatory training on pet welfare and animal management conducted by course providers recognised by us.

 Step 1: 

Complete and submit documents from these authorities in your application

Grant of written permission (for change in use of premises) from the
Urban Redevelopment Authority (Development Control Division).

Step 2:

Submit your personal particulars and shop layout plans 

 
  • Submit your application to ‘Animal_Feedback@nparks.gov.sg'''
  • Application Form
  • A copy of your NRIC (front and back).
  • Your Medisave statement.
  • A copy of the tenancy/lease agreement or Letter of Intent for the shop.
  • Layout plans of the shop.
    • Must show layout of cages (to indicate quantity and dimensions of the cages) in the animal display area and locations of the quarantine area, exercise area, food preparation area, wash area, ventilation system, and waste discharge system.
  • Design and construction plans of animal enclosures or cages.
  • Certificate of Completion showing that the applicant has attended compulsory training on pet welfare and animal management. The training must be conducted by course providers we recognize.

Step 3:

Have your premises inspected by us

Your licence application will be approved within three working days after completion of the following:

  • Our receipt of all supporting documents listed in Step 1 and Step 2
  • Inspection of your boarding premises 
  • Your payment of the licence fee (annual licence fee of $100)

Note:

  • You may contact AVS at ‘Animal_Feedback@nparks.gov.sg’ for enquiries on licensable premises.
  • Acceptance of application does not guarantee final approval.
  • No animals can be boarded prior to receiving the final approval.
  • This application process applies to premises located outside farmlands. For pet boarding located within farmlands, please follow the existing farm licence application process.
