Important Notice on measures in place for the Gardens on COVID-19

Certain weekly guided tours (free) have resumed. Please visit our Events page for further updates. Slots are on a first-come-first-served basis where social distancing practices are required. A maximum group size of 10 (per guide)  is enforced. 

Please note that restrictions are still in place: 

• Scooters, skateboards, tricycles and children's bicycles are not allowed

• Ball/racquet games, frisbees, drones, and kite flying are not allowed

•No feeding of wildlife (fishes/swans/birds/turtles etc) within the Gardens

• Group sizes of more than 5 persons are not permitted. A distance of 1 metre from other groups is also required

• During exercise, please keep to a distance of 3 metres from others. Visitors engaging in sports and physical exercises should observe the following: 
   - Each instructor or coach may only lead one group of five people in order to ensure that our shared green spaces remain safe for all
   - Practice safe management measures as stipulated by Sport Singapore
 
• Please wear your mask when not engaging in strenuous exercise

• Please expect long waiting times (1-2 hours) to enter the Jacob Ballas Children's Garden and National Orchid Garden over the weekends and Public Holidays

Group exercise permits are still required, please ensure your SportSG & NParks Permits are approved prior to your session.

Please note that you must have the SportSG approval before applying for to use the Singapore Botanic Gardens. 

All applications are subjected to current lawn capacity and prevailing safe distancing measures.

The National Orchid Garden will resume regular operations on 3 Jul with Safe Management Measures in place for the safety of all visitors. Please expect 1-2 hours of waiting time during Public Holidays, weekends.

Starting 19 Jun 5am, certain amenities and facilities will resume operations as part of the Phase 2A measures.
All car parks will be open
All entrances will be open for pedestrian and vehicular access
Food and beverage outlets will slowly begin operations. Please check with the various outlets prior as they have different operating hours 
Jacob Ballas Children's Garden (Please note the maximum capacity of 160 persons at any point in time)
Drinking fountains can only be used to fill your water bottles

The Rain Forest will be closed till further notice.

Certain areas of the Learning Forest are closed.

All car parks will be closed starting 22 Apr 5am. No parking will be available. Public transportation nodes available only.

All food and beverage outlets will be closed starting 22 Apr, no delivery/takeaway service will be available.

Please exercise alone, and in your neighbourhood.

Cycling, scootering and skateboarding are not allowed for all ages during this period of the Circuit Breaker.

The exception is for push bikes handled by a guardian of a child.

Starting 15 Apr, it is mandatory to wear a mask upon leaving your home. While in the Gardens, walking, sedentary exercises (such as stretching/yoga) will require a mask to be worn. Please read guidelines laid out by the Ministry of Health in detail here before you leave your home.

Certain restrictions are implemented in the Gardens to manage safe distancing, including the closure of shelters and certain lawns.

Please comply with instructions from our officers on the ground.
