AkzoNobel

AkzoNobel has sponsored the repainting of Burkill Hall to return its identity as an Anglo-Malayan Plantation Style House, as well as repainting and maintenance works for the Bandstand.

BW Group

BW Group has donateda sculpture by artist James Surls featuring the winged fruits of the Dipterocarp (dominant trees of our rainforest)to the Gardens. The sculpture is titled “Fifty Wings”.

City Developments Limited

The CDL Green Gallery @ Singapore Botanic Gardens Heritage Museum was developed and donated in-kind by CDL. The eco-friendly building on Holttum Lawn was conceptualised as an extension of the Heritage Museum and is Singapore’s first zero energy Green Gallery. Its showcase of botanical or greening related exhibits are changed every six to nine months.

CDL’s Deputy Chairman Mr Kwek Leng Joo personally contributed to the UNESCO inscription process. He presented personal photos of the Gardens at the 37th Session of the World Heritage Committee held in Phnom Penh in 2013.

CDL was the presenting sponsor for the “Singapore Garden Photographer of the Year competition”, NParks’ year-long national photo competition on themes surrounding our City in a Garden. The winning entries will be exhibited at City Square Mall and various parks and gardens.

Clarins

Clarins has regularly supported outreach and education programmes in the Gardens through donations and staff volunteers.

ExxonMobil

ExxonMobil has supported the Gardens Calendar series for over 10 years. Through this project, funds are raised annually to support public exhibitions that Gardens’ visitors can enjoy.

Jacob Ballas Trust and Friends

 

The estate of Jacob Ballas and a group of his friends came together to contribute $3 million for the development of the first children’s garden in Asia that was launched in 2007.This feature enabled children to have a greater appreciation of our natural heritage through fun and play. Since then they have continued to support the maintenance of this garden and has also contributed to support the extension of this feature.

Sembcorp Industries

Sembcorp Industries made a S$10 million donation in support of The National Orchid Garden’s (NOG) Cool House Enhancements. It is the largest single donation made to the Garden City Fund by a corporate partner to date.

Sembcorp was also the presenting sponsor for the Jubilee Weekend Celebrations at the Singapore Botanic Gardens from 7-9 August 2015.

Shaw Foundation

 

Shaw Foundation contributed S$1.5 million to redevelop the Symphony Stage — an important icon and a much-loved feature in the Singapore Botanic Gardens since the 1990s. Re-named the Shaw Foundation Symphony Stage, in appreciation of the sponsorship, the icon features a bigger stage area and an improved sound system.

Singapore Press Holdings

SPH co-funded the building of the SPH Walk of Giants in the Singapore Botanic Gardens Learning Forest with a $1.2 million donation. The elevated boardwalk will allow the public to learn about some of the most majestic trees in Singapore and the region.

ST Engineering

ST Engineering helped build a dynamic support system to reinforce the branch of the $5 Tembusu Heritage Tree
